This policy explains what personal information Silver Shine Services collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and who else sees it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you contact us or request a quote, we collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The address or suburb where the work is to be done
- Details about the appliance and any photos you choose to send
- Any notes you give us about access, parking or preferred times
We do not collect payment card details through this website. Payments are handled separately by our payment provider.
Why we collect it
- To prepare and send you a quote
- To schedule and carry out the work
- To issue invoices and receipts
- To contact you about your booking
- To keep a service history so a repeat visit is quicker
Who else sees it
Your details are shared with the local team member assigned to your job, and with the service providers we use to run the business - our email provider, our scheduling system and our accounting software. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Photos of your appliance
We take before and after photos as a record of the work. We only publish a photo on our website or social media with your permission. If you would prefer we did not, tell us at any time and we will remove it.
Marketing
If you agree to it, we may contact you about an annual reminder or a seasonal offer. Every message includes a way to opt out, and opting out does not affect your ability to book with us.
How long we keep it
We keep customer and job records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our tax and legal obligations, and then delete them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. It records things like which pages were viewed and roughly where the visit came from. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
